found a place

Well we finally found a new place. We had already decided on another place, which was alright, it was in Grafton, very close to uni and the domain, quite cheap for Auckland standarts, and Nora liked it immediately. I liked it alright as well, but we had looked at another place jsut before, which was a bid further out in Herne Bay, but I well in love with. We didn't get the place in Herne Bay, though and it was too far out for Noras liking anyway, so we decided on the other place. I just couldn't get myself to be entirely happy with it, mainly because it didn't really feel like a proper home. For me it had a bid of a hostel flair, because the bathroom sink was in the bedroom, and the kitchen was small and in the lounge, which I usually like, but not in the way it was done there. So I had another look in the newspaper last Monday, more because I was bored while having a coffee. I just looked for places in Grafton, as I was interested how expansive other places were. There were 2 adds which looked really good and cheap so I called Nora if we should have a last look at these, and we went. The first place was horrible, and there was nobody there at the scheduled time. At the other place the landlady had told me, that she left all the curtains open, and we could just look inside and call her if we're interested. That place was great, so we arranged a date to meet with the landlady and her husband. And when walking through the place we totally fell in love with it. Nora was not as enthusiastic when looking at the place from the outside, but from the inside we both really liked it. It is a one bedroom place, with a sunroom. It is a fourth of a large villa, and the flat goes from the front of the house to the back, with the kitchen facing the backyard and the sunroom the street. That is the only disadvantage as well, because it means that all rooms are pass through rooms, except for the sunroom which is facing northwest, have windows facing the next house and are therefore not very bright. The place is still quite bright because you get quite a bit of light coming from the sunroom. The lounge room has polished wooden floors, all whiteware is included, we have a gas stove. It's just perfect. When we met the landlord and landlady we were really giving our best to make a good impression. We were so psyched when we found out that evening, that we got the place. We will be moving probably at the end of the week. Nora is already decorating the place. Although the place is not furnished, the landlady gave us quite a bit of furniture they still had. They are really nice.
